New Buy – This type occurs when the customer buys the product for the very first time. The buying decision also is an involved process as both the organizations are unaware of each other. They will not leave any B2B buying process step and take the full cycle before actually purchasing it.

Modified Rebuy – Buyer already has purchased the product but requires specific modifications in terms of price, quality level, customer service level etc. The current vendor can take advantage by offering them the modified version.

Straight Rebuy – When the buyer purchases additional units of the product they have already purchased. For example in the mining industry, the organization can order for additional excavator operators if it plans to train freshers at a practical level.
